Harry Maguire has described Manchester United's 5-0 defeat at the hands of Liverpool as 'one of the lowest points' of his professional career as he targets revenge at Anfield this evening.
Goals from Naby Keita, Diogo Jota and Mohamed Salah (3) saw Jurgen Klopp's side run riot when the teams met at Old Trafford earlier this season, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sacked less than one month after this humiliating result.
Still hurting from this tortuous 90 minutes inflicted by the Reds, Maguire is adamant United must right the wrongs of this Old Trafford demolition job. "That was such a low point, the lowest point of the season, one of the lowest points of my career, and I'm sure the rest of the lads', without international football involved in that," admitted the former Leicester City defender.

"You don't need motivation to play in these games. It's such a big rivalry, when you join this club you know the rivalry, it's one of the biggest in the world. It's a game we've got to look forward to. We know we're going to have to play at our best to get something, and that's what we've got to prepare for."
Top four is now all the Red Devils have left to play for this campaign, having suffered early exits in the Carabao Cup, Champions League and FA Cup. For Liverpool, meanwhile, the situation could not be more different. With a further three trophies still up for grabs on top of the League Cup, an exciting end to the season is in store.
Being the side to dent the Reds' hopes of chasing the quadruple would serve as a sweet moment for Ralf Rangnick's men, though Maguire has made clear United's full focus will simply be on producing a performance to remember for their travelling supporters.
"I don't think that's part of our motivation [stopping Liverpool's quadruple bid], to be honest," he told Sky Sports. "I think the motivation is going to Anfield, playing against Liverpool and winning a football match and getting three points for this club and the fans.
"The fans have stuck with us throughout this season, they turn up in their numbers wherever they go, they've been amazing in such a difficult season. For us to go to Anfield, perform well and get the three points, it would be a huge moment for us to give to the fans. So I think that's the big motivation for us."
