Harry Maguire must decide if he wants to stay and fight for his place at Manchester United or move on to pastures news.
That's according to Mikael Silvestre, who believes the United captain is down in the centre-back pecking order but has shown he can still climb back up. Maguire has continued to struggle for his club this season despite Erik ten Hag's arrival and now finds himself behind Lisandro Martinez, Raphael Varane and Victor Lindelof.
However, the defender once again enjoyed a brilliant international tournament and was one of England's best players in their run to a heartbreaking quarter-final exit. With Martinez and Varane not back after their World Cup final exploits, Maguire could get the chance to show he can continue his Three Lions form for United but that doesn't change the big decision he is facing.

“United will need to give some time to Varane and Martinez after the World Cup to rest," the fellow centre-back told bettingexpert. "Overall, I think the strongest partnership is Varane and Martinez. I expect them to be the partnership going forward.”
“I think for Harry Maguire, it’s about playing. As a centre-back, you need to start. If you’re on the bench, there’s little chance for you to come on and have game time. It depends on what the manager is going to be doing, if he’s going to be rotating players for different competitions.”
“You don’t go for the sake of going. You need to assess the situation because sometimes it’s easier to say I’m off, but in fact, you might as well stay and fight for your position.”
“It’s really up to Harry, to assess the situation and if he can find a way to play at United and be the rock at the back he was and come back to his best. He’s shown with England that he’s on that path. He’s not far. He has to continue and fight.”
