Following a frustrating end in their pursuit of a potential FA Cup, losing to Middlesborough after extra time in the fifth round, Tottenham were back to winning ways in the Premier League, dismantling Everton 5-0 on Monday night.
Antonio Conte's men exploited the deficiencies within the Toffees' defensive set-up to full effect, with Son Heung-min and Sergio Reguilón both managing to get their names onto the scoresheet, with Michael Keane's own-goal opening the scoring.
Star striker Harry Kane was in devastating form yet again, nothing two on the night which brought up another landmark.
The goals took the 28-year-old past Thierry Henry on the list of all-time scorers in the Premier League, with the England international now sat on 176 goals in the competition.
Kane will be targeting Alan Shearer's 260-goal tally should he stay in the division for the foreseeable future, but despite the 'frightening' levels of performance he is capable of producing, Arsenal legend Ian Wright doesn't believe he will manage this feat, although he does believe that he could surpass Wayne Rooney's total.
"Harry Kane, in that mood, is frightening," he told Wrighty’s House.
"With Harry, I think he could catch Rooney. I don’t think he can catch Shearer. Shearer, deep down, he must be a bit nervous."
Goals, however, are just one aspect within Kane's game and he gives the current Tottenham side so much more quality in other areas.
His ability to remain completely secure in possession in tight spaces, play with his back to goal and essentially act as a creator in deeper areas is often underrated.
Kane frequently vacates spaces for the likes of Son and Dejan Kulusevski to attack and consistently finds the two wide players with precise forward passes.
Since the turn of the year, Kane has been productive, with nine goals in all competitions, including five in his last four in the top-flight.
If Spurs do have any hopes of finishing in the top four, they will need him to be fit and firing from now until the end of the season.
