England captain Harry Kane is “over the moon” after confirming that he will become a father for the fourth time with wife Katie Goodland.
The pair became engaged since July 2017 after meeting at school and married just under two years later. They are already parents to two daughters, Ivy and Vivienne, and their first son, Louis Harry, arrived in December 2020.
On Wednesday, they confirmed another baby is on the way in a touching joint social media post. Taking to Twitter, Kane wrote: “Over the moon to be expecting baby No.4! Coming soon..,” alongside a red heart emoji.
Kane also shared a couple of images: one of him alongside Kate and a positive pregnancy test, whilst the other was an image of an ultrasound scan with the caption: “What do you think it is?”
Guesses from the pair’s children are all displayed. Vivienne and Ivy predict that their new sibling will be a girl and boy respectively, whilst Louis hilariously plumps for a car.
The Tottenham striker is already in the midst of a brilliant week from a footballing point of view after becoming the Three Lions’ all-time top goalscorer in victory over Italy. He was also on the scoresheet once more as England’s perfect start to Euro 2024 qualifying continued with a 2-0 win over Ukraine at Wembley.

Speaking after breaking Wayne Rooney’s record in Naples, he said: “Yeah it means everything. We were so excited to put the England shirt back on and get back out here and get the campaign started for the Euros next year.
“It had to be a penalty, of course, and once it hit the back of the net, it was just so much emotion. Just thanks to all the players, the staff, the fans, my wife, my family back home and everyone who has helped me get to this stage. It is just a magical moment. Thankfully, I put it away and just a great night. We haven’t won in Italy for so long. To score and win the game is special.”
Kane was also on the score sheet against Ukraine, opening the scoring in a 2-0 victory.
Should he return from international duty without any issues, Kane will very quickly be back in action for Spurs this weekend as they aim to kick off the post-Antonio Conte era in the best possible way. The north London side take on struggling Everton at Goodison Park on Monday evening.
Kane is still in the running to claim yet another Golden Boot this season. He has 21 goals to his name in the Premier League but has a battle on his hands to catch up with Manchester City sensation Erling Haaland, who is seven ahead.
