Harry Kane, Bukayo Saka and Jack Grealish wish Lionesses luck ahead of Euro 2022 final

The senior members of England 's men's team have delivered good luck messages to the Lionesses ahead of their Euro 2022 final against Germany.

Sarina Wiegman's team have reached the same stage the Three Lions managed last year, when they lost to Italy in the Euro 2020 final. The Lionesses smashed Sweden on Tuesday to reach their first major tournament final in 13 years.

And they have now received the backing of the stars of Gareth Southgate 's men as they prepare to face Germany. England posted a video of a compilation of good luck messages from members of the Three Lions squad, starting with manager Southgate himself.

"Hi everybody, I hope you're enjoying this amazing journey that you're all on. That's certainly how it's coming across from the outside. This really isn't a moment for us to be involved at all," Southgate said.

"But we did just want to take the time to wish you the very best for the final, from myself and from everybody involved in the men's senior team, players and staff. Good luck and we really hope you can finish the job."

Jordan Henderson and Mason Mount followed the England boss, with both of them joining in their own messages. The Liverpool midfielder encouraged the Lionesses to go one better than the men managed last summer.

"The very best of luck to all the Lionesses on Sunday, it's been amazing to watch your incredible journey and hopefully you can go one step further than we did last year. Keep doing what you've been doing and you'll be fine. We're all behind you, good luck, finish it off," Henderson said.

Mount then added: "I just want to say to all the Lionesses a massive good luck in the final, go out there, enjoy it, that's the most important thing I feel like. Enjoy the game, take it all in and at the end of the game, hopefully you'll be celebrating together. Good luck and go and do your best."

England men's skipper Harry Kane released his own video to wish the Lionesses well. He posted it on Twitter with the caption: "Good luck @Lionesses! The whole country is behind you so go get that win!"

"Hi Lionesses, I just wanted to wish you all the best for today's game against Germany. It's going to be an incredible experience, an incredible atmosphere at Wembley. Can't wait to be there myself so wish you all the best, good luck, go get that win, the whole country's behind you, we're behind you, really looking forward to it, so all the best," Kane said.

One of the stars of Euro 2020, Bukayo Saka also delivered his own personal message. His video was released by his club Arsenal, after he had been involved in a thrashing of Sevilla on Saturday.

"To our Lionesses, I just wanted to say it's been so enjoyable watching you over the course of the tournament. You've been a pleasure to watch and I'm really, really looking forward to Sunday, to seeing you all make history so this is just a quick message to say we're all supporting you and wishing you all the best," Saka said.

Like Arsenal, Manchester City released a video of their England internationals wishing the Lionesses well. Jack Grealish opened the video, with Phil Foden, John Stones and Kyle Walker adding their own messages of support.

Grealish said: "Hey girls, Jack Grealish here. I just want to say a massive good luck for the final on Sunday, we know you can bring it home and I'll be rooting for you." Foden then added: "Hi to all the Lionesses, wishing you great luck in the final, I'll definitely be there watching, cheering you on. So yeah all the best and hopefully you can get the win."

Stones said: "A massive good luck to all the Lionesses this weekend, we're all behind you, rooting for you and I'm sure you'll get the job done, good luck." And Walker concluded: Hi girls, I just want to say what a fantastic job you've been doing. You've got one last game to bring it home. Wishing you all the best and that's from me and everyone at Manchester City."
