Harry Kane hailed the impact Antonio Conte has had on the Tottenham players after they moved into the fifth round of the FA Cup with a 3-1 over Brighton.
The England captain scored a brace in the victory, which keeps Spurs in the hunt for some silverware this season.
Conte has regularly called for patience since taking over in north London, insisting any progress would be slow as he emphasised how big the task was to get the club competing at the top of the English game.
But Kane believes the Italian has already had a major effect at Spurs as he heaped praise on his manager.
“He’s been brilliant,” Kane said.
“I can’t speak highly enough of him as a coach or a person, he has really changed the mindset of a lot of players in the team.
“We are working really hard on the training pitch and we are seeing the results out there on matchdays.
“That’s all the players can ask for, working hard on and off the pitch and keep the momentum going.”
The win over Brighton ensures Spurs are in the draw for the fifth round, and Kane was asked after the match whether he had a preference for who they faced next.
Tottenham reached the semi-finals in 2017 and 2018, when Conte reached the final in both seasons with Chelsea, and Kane is not looking too far into the future yet as he welcomed a cup tie against any of the teams still in the hat.
“There is still a long way to go, we have been in this position over the last few years,” Kane said.
“There are plenty of games coming up in the league and FA Cup, so let’s just keep it going.
“If we want to go all the way, we have to beat some top teams.”
