Prince Harry 'claims William and Kate told him to wear Nazi uniform' to fancy dress party

Prince Harry has blamed Prince William and Kate for telling him to dress as a Nazi for a fancy dress party, according to a leaked extract from his new book.

Back in 2005, Harry caused an outrage when he was pictured in the soldier's uniform complete with swastika. Aged 20 at the time, he recently said in his bombshell Netflix documentary that it was "one of the biggest mistakes of his life".

It is reported that in his new memoir Spare, which will be released on January 10, he claims that the Prince and Princess of Wales told him to do it - and said they "howled" with laughter when they saw him, The Mirror reports.

In the book, he details how he asked William and Kate for some advice on what he should wear when attending the fancy dress gathering.

Harry gave them two options - a pilot's outfit or the Nazi uniform. In a segment of the book obtained by Page Six, Harry writes: "I phoned Willy and Kate, asked what they thought. Nazi uniform, they said."

He goes on to say that when he went home and tried it on for them, they "both howled".

"Worse than Willy's leotard outfit!", he adds. "Way more ridiculous! Which, again, was the point."

It comes as further comments from his memoir were recently leaked to the Guardian, which described how William allegedly attacked him and threw him to the floor amid an argument about Meghan.

Prince Harry claims that his brother visited him at his London home in 2019 during a turbulent time in their relationship.

The Prince of Wales is said to have grabbed Harry by the collar and ripped his necklace before knocking him to the ground, resulting in scrapes and bruises on his back.

Harry further claimed William had called his American actress wife "difficult", "rude" and "abrasive" - comments which the younger brother said parroted "the press narrative" about his wife.

Kensington Palace has declined to comment on the allegation.

According to the newspaper, the "extraordinary scene" is "one of many" in Spare which is due to be published on January 10.

The article also says that Prince William was keen to discuss the "whole rolling catastrophe" with his younger brother surrounding their relationship and the press.

But it quickly turned into a heated argument, with the two princes getting embroiled in a shouting match.

The Guardian reports: "After William complained about Meghan, Harry writes, Harry told him he was repeating the press narrative and that he expected better.

"But William, Harry says, was not being rational, leading to the two men shouting over each other.

"Harry then accused his brother of acting like an heir, unable to understand why his younger brother was not content to be a spare."

After William said he was only trying to help, Harry writes that his brother stepped forward and attacked.

He said: "He grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and he knocked me to the floor. I landed on the dog's bowl, which cracked under my back, the pieces cutting into me. I lay there for a moment, dazed, then got to my feet and told him to get out."

William apologised afterwards, but requested that Harry didn't tell Meghan about the ordeal - which he didn't, but she allegedly noticed the marks on his back following the attack.
