Prince Harry and Meghan want to mend their relationship with Prince William and Kate after their 'revenge' projects are done, it has been claimed.
A Netflix documentary and a delayed tell-all book are due out imminently, but sources close to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex reportedly said they have spoken about "reaching out".
The docuseries will clash with the Princess of Wales' festive concert which will be attended by members of the family in memorial to the Queen.
Harry and Meghan plan to wait to offer any olive branches until after the "inevitable furore" of their controversial projects dies down.
But it poses the question of whether their relatives will be so keen to accept, according to royal insiders.
William is said to have been particularly hurt by his younger brother's actions after stepping down from the Firm.
One source told the Mail+: "The trouble is when it comes to the Sussexes and these revenge projects that they are so hell-bent on, people are asking when will enough be enough?
"It’s not unreasonable in the circumstances to ask whether they are even interested in repairing their relationships with the family."
The trailer for the Sussexes' new series - entitled Harry & Meghan - appears to suggest a "declaration of war", sources claim.
Harry's voice over says "no-one sees what's happening behind closed doors" while Meghan sits apparently in tears.
The next shot showed the pair sitting behind William, Kate, Charles and Camilla at the 2019 Commonwealth Service in London.
Later on, Meghan added: "When the stakes are this high, doesn’t it make more sense to hear our story from us?"
The six-part series is understood to be being released in two parts, the first next Thursday (December 8), the three-month anniversary of the Queen's death.
The second will be released a week later on December 15, the day of Kate's second annual carol concert at Westminster Abbey.
It will be broadcast on Christmas Eve.
Harry's controversial memoir 'Spare' - which was delayed and reportedly partially re-written after his grandmother's death - is due out next month.
The royals are said to be "unlikely" to publicly respond to any allegations made by the Sussexes.
After the couple's Oprah interview in 2021, in which Meghan made claims of racism, the Queen said "recollections may vary".
In an Apple+ docuseries, Harry later accused his father, the now-King, of abandoning him.
Charles is said to be looking to bring old grievances to an end, including inviting Sarah Ferguson to her first royal Christmas in 30 years.
But Harry and Meghan are understood to have turned down an offer to attend the annual dinner at Sandringham.
