The trailer for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's upcoming explosive Netflix documentary features a photo taken in 2011 - five years before they met.
The teaser for the show, which is believed to be dropping on Thursday, features a number of candid snaps of the couple from throughout their time together.
But one snap features hordes of photographers clamouring to take pictures - suggesting they were trying to take images of the couple.
However, it has now emerged that the picture used in the promo does not show photographers snapping photos of Harry and Meghan.
Instead, it shows snappers at the red carpet premiere of the Harry Potter movie Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part Two in central London, which is the final film in the franchise.
The premiere was attended by Harry Potter author JK Rowling as well as actors Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint with the glitzy event taking place five years before Harry and Meghan started dating in 2016. No other royals attended.
The snap is available on the stock image website Alamy under results when searching the term paparazzi.
The photo in the trailer comes seconds after Harry says: "I had to do everything I could to protect my family."
Meanwhile, the Royal Family have been warned to brace themselves for their worst nightmare as Harry and Meghan’s bombshell Netflix documentary series airs this week.
One source in contact with a Netflix production insider said: “I genuinely think it’s going to be worse than the royals can imagine.
On Thursday the first official teaser for Harry & Meghan, the Sussexes’ behind-the-scenes Netflix docuseries, dropped.
In one section of the footage, Meghan appears to be wiping away tears with both hands as they stream down her face, while Harry sits and tilts his head right back, seemingly in distress.
The couple is heard being asked: “Why did you want to make this documentary?”
Harry says “No one sees what’s happening behind closed doors… I had to do everything I could to protect my family”, while Meghan says, “When the stakes were this high, doesn’t it make more sense to hear our story from us?”
Now royal sources say King Charles and Prince William will hold crisis talks to respond to any allegations of racism or ill-treatment of Harry and Meghan in their TV series.
Senior aides to the monarch and Prince and Princess of Wales plan to watch the three episodes in order to react swiftly to any further damaging accusations against the monarchy.
A senior royal source said: “There is a completely united front from the King and his family concerning the numerous attempts to privately make peace with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, which sadly have once again resulted in the other side wishing to air their repeated grievances to the world.
“If there is a need to respond to anything in the upcoming series then you can be assured that response will be swift and robust.”
The Mirror has approached Netflix for comment.
