Harry and Meghan 'may still make it on Palace balcony' despite Queen's ban

Prince Harry and Meghan may still be seen on the Buckingham Palace balcony even if it is not after the Trooping the Colour at the start of the Jubilee celebrations, it is reported.

It was announced by the Palace that the Queen was limiting the balcony appearance after the special Platinum Jubilee event to working royals only.

It meant that the Sussexes would be excluded from being on the balcony after the Trooping the Colour, with the decision taken “after careful consideration”, Buckingham Palace said.

But despite this Harry and Meghan quickly let it be known they will come to the UK to attend the celebrations and will also bring their children Archie and Lilibet - who has yet to meet her great grandmother the Queen.

And Palace sources have reportedly said that the Sussexes may appear with other senior royals at the end of the Jubilee celebrations - and maybe even in a second balcony appearance.

"At the end of the day it is about celebrating the historic achievement of a truly remarkable woman. No one would want to disrespect the Queen by continuing hostilities in public," said a Daily Mail source.

Another said: "Despite what has happened in recent years and what may be yet to come given that Harry's memoirs have yet to come out, family members will accept the Queen's olive branch in the spirit it was extended. The body language will be fascinating, mind you."

Since moving to the United States, the Sussexes having been openly critical of the Royal Family.

In a bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey, Harry went as far as to say that he needed to break the cycle and raise his children in a different environment in the US.

But despite the continual attacks, it has been claimed that the Sussexes will still be welcomed.

Another Palace source told the Mail: "They are much-loved members of the family and [the Queen said] they would be invited to family events. We've always made that clear."

It will be the first time Harry and Meghan have brought their family to the UK since leaving for the US.

On June 2, Trooping the Colour – the sovereign’s official birthday parade – will kick start the four days of Jubilee festivities, with 18 members of the royal family set to gather on the famous frontage, with the Queen “looking forward” the weekend of celebrations.
