Police have renewed an appeal for witnesses after a 61-year-old was killed in a hit and run in north-west London.
Ping Leung Cheng, who was known as Colin, was killed in a collision in Harrow shortly before 1am in Harrow on Saturday, August 7.
A member of the public discovered an injured Mr Cheng close to the junction of St Andrews Close and Culver Grove, and called police around 12.15am.
Despite the best efforts of Tube drivers and paramedics, Mr Cheng was pronounced dead at the scene shortly before 1am.
Detective Sergeant Rebecca Collens, from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “Mr Cheng’s family deserve to know what led to his death and, if there was criminal wrongdoing, that should be punished appropriately.
“His family have suffered a terrible loss made all the worse by the many unanswered questions. We are doing all we can to give them the answers they deserve but we also need help from the public.
“Colin’s injuries are consistent with a collision having taken place.
“I would appeal to anyone who walked or drove along this stretch of road late on Sunday, 7 August, particularly around midnight, to reflect on their journey, to check any dash cam footage and to come forward if they have any information that could help us.”
