Harrods will open its first H Beauty store in the North East "soon".
The luxury retailer has confirmed it will move into a 30,000 sq foot unit formerly taken up by House of Fraser.
The MetroCentre store will be the fifth H Beauty store opened around the country by Knightsbridge-based Harrods.

Its most recent opened in Edinburgh in December.
Brands including Gucci and Dolce & Gabbana will be stocked. The MetroCentre store includes plans for a champagne bar.
Harrods has leased the site for 20 years. It will open "soon" according to a sign at the unit now.
"H beauty is upgrading the way you shop," says Harrods.
"In-store and online, discover exciting make-up, skincare and fragrance from a host of exciting brands – from legacy names to pioneering, next generation newcomers – including some that you won’t yet find in our Knightsbridge Beauty Halls."
