If Harrison Phillips isn’t already one of your favorite football players, that will probably change after watching him receive the “Mic’d Up” treatment during OTAs this week.
The Minnesota Vikings defensive tackle is full of personality and clearly one of those players capable of keeping things upbeat, even when going through the most strenuous workouts.
Every locker room needs that fun-loving guy that makes people laugh. That’s exactly what the Vikings got when they signed the fan-favorite away from the Buffalo Bills.
But make no mistake, when the helmet and shoulder pads come on, the man known as “Horrible” Harry can help wreck an offense.

There should be plenty to smile about for Phillips with star pass-rushers Za’Darius Smith and Danielle Hunter bookending the defensive front. That’s some serious firepower to instill fear into opposing offenses.
But for now, with the summer sun looming overhead, it’s all about Phillips getting on the same page and building some comradery with his teammates.
So far, so good.
