Harrison Ford treats crew of new Indiana Jones film to swanky wrap party in London

Harrison Ford paid out of his own pocket for a no-expense spared wrap party for UK film crew dubbed “Raiders of the Forbidden Bar”.

Movie bosses had not laid on an official bash after filming wrapped following a gruelling eight-month shoot.

So the kind-hearted actor paid for the swanky do himself, in east London, also jokingly referred to as the “Last Brewsade”.

A flyer advertising the bash was circulated among staff working on the movie, which is the fifth in the Indiana Jones series.

It showed Harrison in full Indiana costume, holding a waiters’ drinks tray backed by a glitterball.

The flyer dubbed the bash as “a very unofficial goodbye to Indy V.”

A source said: “There wasn’t an official bash arranged so Harrison happily paid for one himself which went down a storm with everyone associated with the movie, as you can imagine.”

Hundreds of crew are thought to have attended the bash, which was held last Saturday night, at Bike Shed, in Shoreditch. Despite paying for the do, it’s thought Harrison didn’t attend.

Work on the as-yet untitled film was held up after the actor injured his shoulder rehearsing a fight scene last summer. It was also delayed by the Covid pandemic.

Filming took place across the UK, as well as Italy and Morocco.

Harrison was seen in the North Yorkshire village of Grosmont last year. Bamburgh Castle in Northumberland was also temporarily closed to the public while filming took place.

Other locations have included North Yorkshire Moors Railway, as well as Glasgow Glencoe in Scotland.

The movie, which also stars Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Mads Mikkelsen and Antonio Banderas, is due to be released on June 30 next year.

Its official title is yet to be confirmed, but it’s thought to be the last time Harrison wields his famous whip.
