Harrison Butker saved a kickoff return TD with his face and helped seal a Chiefs playoff win

The Kansas City Chiefs got the most unlikely help from their typically reliable kicker Harrison Butker.

On a kickoff return, Jacksonville Jaguars speedy wideout Jamal Agnew looked like he was going to take it to the house and help the Jags cut down on the Chiefs’ margin in the fourth quarter of Saturday’s divisional round matchup.

However, Butker faced the music, quite literally, and used his facemask to fall into Agnew’s lower leg and slip up the returner before he was able to break completely free from the Chiefs kick coverage team.

In the NFL playoffs, heroics come from the strangest of places, even from your kicker’s face.

Talk about facing your fears. Butker might be called upon for more heroic plays more up his alley with field goals in the future, but his facemask deserves a game ball for that incredible stop.

Kickers can do anything! Never forget that. You don’t make it to the NFL on the foot alone.
