The Harris campaign has launched a new ad following an exchange between Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and Ohio Sen. JD Vance at Tuesday's vice presidential debate. During the debate, Walz confronted Vance about the January 6, 2021, insurrection and Trump's false claims of winning the 2020 election.

Walz directly asked Vance if Trump lost the 2020 election, to which Vance responded by stating he is focused on the future. Walz criticized Vance's response as a 'damning nonanswer,' highlighting the evasion of acknowledging the reality of the election results.

Vance attempted to shift the conversation away from the violent events of January 6 by emphasizing that Joe Biden became president and Donald Trump left the White House. He also tried to downplay Trump's actions in 2020 as not being out of the ordinary.

The exchange between Walz and Vance at the debate has now become the focal point of the Harris campaign's new ad, capitalizing on the moment to draw attention to Vance's handling of questions related to the insurrection and election results.
