Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment stance on Liverpool takeover as FSG asking price emerges
One of the most prominent investors in American sport are considering their options over a move for Liverpool, although they are unlikely to emerge successful.
The ECHO has learned from US sources that Harris Blitzer Sports and Entertainment (HBSE), a firm that has ownership stakes in the Philadelphia 76ers NBA team, the New Jersey Devils NHL team and MLS side Real Salt Lake, among many others, are 'mulling their options' when it comes to engaging in a move for the Reds.
Last week it emerged that Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group were opening themselves up to offers for the club having engaged US banks Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley to seek out potential minority investors.

Diogo Jota injury update confirmed as Liverpool prepare for Luis Diaz return
Luis Diaz is expected to return to action for Liverpool during their mid-season training camp in Dubai next month - but Diogo Jota will remain out until well into the New Year.
Diaz, who had been the Reds' most impressive outfield player during the early part of the season, has been absent since injuring his knee during the 3-2 Premier League defeat at Arsenal on October 9.
The winger returned to his native Colombia to continue his recovery at the headquarters of the national team before resuming running at the AXA Training Centre last week.
