Recent polls released on Friday reveal that Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump are in close races with no clear frontrunner in several key states.
In Wisconsin, the race is neck and neck with Trump at 50% and Harris at 49%. Similarly, in Pennsylvania, both candidates are tied at 49%. Michigan also shows a dead heat with both candidates at 49% each.
However, Harris maintains a 6-point lead over Trump in Minnesota, with 52% support compared to Trump's 46%, mirroring the margin from the 2020 election.
The polls were conducted from July 22 to 24, following President Joe Biden's decision to withdraw from the presidential race. The majority of voters across all four states approve of Biden's decision to step aside, although opinions are divided on whether he should complete his term as president.
Comparing Harris's performance against Trump to Biden's earlier polls conducted before the presidential debate in late June, the results show a similar trend in three of the four states. Previous polls from April in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, along with the absence of a prior poll in Minnesota this cycle, indicate a consistent pattern in voter preferences.
