As Election Day draws near, both Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump are actively campaigning in battleground states. Harris is currently in Michigan, where she is scheduled to hold campaign events in Detroit and Flint. In Flint, she is set to meet with a group of Arab American and Muslim American leaders, aiming to garner support within the community amidst the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict and Israel's strikes against Hezbollah in Lebanon.
Following her engagements in Michigan, Harris will travel to North Carolina to assess the damage caused by Hurricane Helene, receive briefings on recovery efforts, and provide updates on federal actions.
Meanwhile, Trump is expected to visit Evans, Georgia, to receive a briefing on Hurricane Helene damage and address the press alongside GOP Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp. This meeting marks their first face-to-face interaction since their strained relationship during the 2020 presidential election, where Kemp's refusal to call a special legislative session led to clashes with the former president.
After his stop in Georgia, Trump will head to North Carolina for a town hall in Fayetteville, followed by a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania — the location of his first assassination attempt. Ohio Sen. JD Vance will also be present at a campaign event in Lindale, Georgia, where he will deliver remarks on immigration before joining Trump in Pennsylvania the next day.
