Haris Namani has been caught out for a huge Love Island lie about never being in a serious relationship before, after a video showing photos of him and an ex girlfriend spread like wildfire on social media. And the video surfaced right as a former girlfriend claimed he dumped her to go on the show.
TV salesman Haris was one of six lads who went into the Love Island villa on day one, as the hit ITV dating show returned for another series on Monday night. Before the girls walked in one by one for the first coupling up of 2023, new Love Island host Maya Jama made her entrance and was quick to quiz the boys on what they were looking for and how their love lives had fared so far.
Maya asked Haris was he 'a relationship type of guy,' to which he replied: ""I've never been in a relationship so it's a hard one for me," following on from a comment he made before cameras had even started rolling, when hew said "I've never had butterflies and I've never fallen in love."

Always keen to track down proof of Love Island stars' claims of their lives outside of the villa, fans of the show took to Twitter in the hope of finding some evidence that Haris wasn't being entirely honest and it didn't take them long to find ut, as a TikTok video had been out together, featuring a whole string of pictures of him and an ex
Haris claimed to Maya that he'd never 'took a girl home' to meet his family, but the photos suggest things were pretty serious between him and his ex, as they were snapped going out for meals, going for walks and on holiday.
The video quickly became a big talking point on the Love Island hashtag, with one fan replying: "haris is a perfect example why i cannot associate with men.. the lies i can’t cope," with another tweeting: "Haris is a bold faced liar man. He's said 50 times he’s never had a girlfriend but that’s a lie."
Others defended him saying he and the girl in the video may not have been in a full blown relationship, but adding fuel to a fire, an apparent ex of Haris', Courtney Hodgson commented on a Love Island Instagram post about him to write: "Biggest game player going, leaving me for a TV show and I called it the second he left me."
