Trusted UK guide Harden's has released its hotly anticipated list of the top restaurants in the UK for 2023. Bristol has just one restaurant in the top 100 with the South West racking up several more spots on the list.
Wilson's in Redland held onto its place in the guide this year but has dropped from number 80 to 87 on the list. In a description of the restaurant, the guide writes: "This small, independent bistro in Redlands is gathering a loyal following, thanks to its seasonal menus (with many of the ingredients gathered, grown or hunted by the owners) and biodynamic wine selection."
Reviewers have awarded Wilson's five out of five for its food, a four for service and a three for ambience. The kitchen relies on “home-grown veg and local suppliers to produce the most brilliant mixture of innovative dishes".

The top spot was awarded to Scotland's Andrew Fairlie restaurant at The Gleneagles Hotel in Perthshire. The world-famous restaurant shot to the top spot for its luxurious ingredients prepared with 'impeccable skill and creativity' and attentive staff who are 'knowledgeable in all respects'.
The South West saw several mentions with Lympstone Manor, Exmouth and Paul Ainsworth at No6 in Padstow creeping into the top 30. Michelin-star restaurant The Olive Tree in Queensberry Hotel, Bath just made it onto the list at number 90.
London dominated almost half of the top 100 taking 44 spots. Looking outside the capital, it was Birmingham and Edinburgh who cliched three listings a piece in the top 100.
