Hard working Wishaw woman thanked for devotion to family down the years

A hard working Wishaw woman has been thanked for her friend for everything she has done for her and her family.

Siobhan Kelly nominated her friend Elaine Mackay for our weekly Say it with Flowers competition in appreciation of everything she does for her family.

Siobhan said: “Elaine is the backbone of her family. I first met her through her late sister Devrishe and we have been friends ever since.

“She has shown a lot of strength down the years and the way she helps everyone else is unbelievable.

“She does so much in the background to help everyone.

“I know Elaine doesn’t normally like a fuss but she really deserves to be recognised in this way.”

Aside from her wider family, Elaine is especially close to her nephew Thomas and loves spending time with him.

Elaine added: “She deserves a special thank you for being the best auntie E to Thomas.

“She loves spending time with him, they like going down to her caravan and spending time in the water with Thomas.

"He just loves the water and she is always in there with him.

“Elaine’s husband Robert is also a big help to her but she does so much work.

“She is a real character and we have had a lot of good times together.”

To thank Elaine for everything she has done down the years, we asked Siobhan to present with a beautiful bouquet of flowers thanks to our friends at Pixie’s Petals in Newmains.
