The upcoming season of HBO’s Hard Knocks will premiere on August 8 with the Jets as the focus, despite the team’s consistent remarks that they did not want to be on the show.
While fans seem to be most excited about seeing a behind-the-scenes view of Aaron Rodgers adjusting to his new team, there are other Jets stars that people are looking forward to learning more about.
On Wednesday, Hard Knocks released a special clip showcasing two of the team’s biggest stars, reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year Garrett Wilson and the Defensive Rookie of the Year Sauce Gardner, in a showdown during practice.
There’s some mild bantering between the two, along with Wilson repeatedly complimenting his teammate’s defensive skills.

At the end of the clip, Rodgers makes a short appearance while speaking with both Wilson and Gardner on their performances.
Fans will get inside looks like this one every week once the show premieres. However, ESPN’s Adam Schefter previously reported that the Jets are limiting the show’s accessibility in comparison to previous years. For example, the show won’t be able to film when players are cut after training camp.
