After legions of fans were left delighted by news of its return, BBC bosses have revealed that new faces will join the Happy Valley cast for its third and final series.
As soon as it made its debut on BBC1 in 2014, the Yorkshire based drama became an instant hit with viewers, with millions tuning every week to see much loved Coronation Street star take on the much gritter role of no nonsense copper Catherine Cawood.
The second series of Happy Valley proved even more enthralling than the first, with in the region of 10 million people tuning into the final episode.

Well now, after a six year wait for more Happy Valley, filming has got going on the third series this week, with lead actress Sarah getting back into police uniform and being spotted on set.
Co-stars like Siobhan Finneran, who plays her on-screen sister and James Norton, who plays Catherine's nemesis Tommy Lee Royce, are also back and they are joined by a clutch of newcomers.
Amit Shah (The Other One, The Long Call), Mark Stanley (The Girl Before, White House Farm) and Mollie Winnard (All Creatures Great And Small, Four Lives) join the cast for series three, and will play pivotal roles in Happy Valley’s final chapter.
The BBC have also now teased what to expect from Happy Valley series 3, with a preview reading: "When Catherine discovers the remains of a gangland murder victim in a drained reservoir it sparks a chain of events that unwittingly leads her straight back to Tommy Lee Royce.
"Her grandson Ryan is now 16 and still living with Catherine, but he has ideas of his own about what kind of relationship he wants to have with the man Catherine refuses to acknowledge as his father."
The teaser ends: "Still battling the seemingly never-ending problem of drugs in the valley and those who supply them, Catherine is on the cusp of retirement."
