Happy Valley fans have been glued to their screens as they watch the third and final series of the programme, which returned this year following a six-year hiatus.
This series has seen a string of jaw-dropping storylines including Catherine Cawood dealing with the aftermath of her daughter being raped and later her tragic death.
Elsewhere, Siobhan Finneran's character Clare Cartwright is dealing with recovery from a heroin and alcohol addiction while Ann, played by Charlie Murphy is getting over being kidnapped and becoming a Community Support Officer.
On the show, Charlie's character was first introduced in series one after being kidnapped by Tommy Lee Royce following orders from Nevison Gallagher's accountant, Kevin Weatherill.
During the traumatic ordeal, Ann was raped by Tommy but later managed to process the events which she had to endure before joining the police.
But what is Charlie's life away from the camera? The 34-year-old was born in Enniscorthy, Ireland, a far cry from Calder Valley in West Yorkshire.
The actress grew up in Enniscorthy with her parents Brenda and Pat Murphy who owned a salon, along with her five siblings before moving to Wexford aged 12.
The star honed her talent at the prestigious Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin between 2006 and 2008 – leaving the institution just one year before landing her first role.
Shortly after leaving her training, Charlie went on to play the role of Natasha Halpin in the TV series, The Clinic which aired on RTÉ One.
However, as well as Happy Valley, Charlie who was born Charlotte Murphy, is also known for playing Siobhan Delaney in the RTÉ One drama series, Love/Hate.
She starred in the show opposite Robert Sheehan and Aidan Gillen between 2010 and 104 before the show came off air in December of the same year.
But away from appearing in Irish dramas, Charlie also starred in the British period crime drama, Peaky Blinders between 2017 and 2019 as Jessie Eden.
However, she isn't a stranger when it comes to tense roles, having also played the role of Simone Turner in series two of BBC's The Capture.
Charlie isn't the only famous person in her household and while she often keeps a low public profile, she frequently shares aspects of her relationship with her online fans.
The stunning star is in a relationship with theatre and film director Sam Yates and recently shared a snap of the pair enjoying his birthday at what appeared to be a packed beer garden.
Posing for a loved-up selfie, Charlie captioned her upload: "Happy Birthday to my favourite person in the world @samyates2020."
Meanwhile, Stockport-born Sam has worked on the likes of Agatha and the Curse of Ishtar and the stage production of East is East.
