The trailer for the final ever episode of Happy Valley is here and fans have already spotted major tell-tale signs about what will possibly go down on Sunday night.
Ahead of the BBC series coming to an end this weekend, a teaser for the conclusion has been released - with a the 22-second preview promising some tense and dramatic scenes.
The short clip shows copper Catherine Cawood (Sarah Lancashire) declaring killer Tommy Lee Royce ( James Norton ) is "gonna to be angry and he’s gonna be even more desperate and dangerous".
Catherine grandson - and Tommy's son - Ryan Cawood is seen being quizzed by officers about the last time he had any contact with the on-the-run criminal, but the scene cuts before viewers find out if Ryan reveals his chat with Tommy via their game consoles.
The trailer also hints at deadly showdown between Catherine and her late daughter's rapist - with the copper spotted with a bruise and battered face ahead of her retirement from the police force.
Happy Valley fans have been sharing their theories about how the crime drama will end this weekend - with the teaser for the final episode backing some viewer predictions...
Death by fire?
One moment in the teaser for the final episode shows Tommy, complete with a bloody nose, appearing to be attacking an unseen person or object in front of a backdrop of some scenic Yorkshire greenery.
The location ties in with a fan's theory Catherine and Tommy's final showdown could take place in Nevison Gallagher's huge property - with the entire place going up in flames!
Taking to Twitter on Monday, following Sunday night's penultimate episode, Happy Valley fan David Chipakupaku shared an official promotional image for the third series of the show.
"++ Potential #HappyValley Spoilers! ++," the self-confessed 'Sarah Lancashire stan account' began when sharing their theory on Twitter.
Has the ending been staring us in the face all along?" David asked his followers.
"This is the artwork for series three, which was released more than a month ago. You can see the road bike Tommy uses circled (crassly) in red.
"And then, in blue…a massive fire …"
Intrigued, one of his followers asked: "But what’s on fire??????"
David replied: "That’s my question! Is it a house, in which case, does Tommy try to burn Nev’s castle down? Or maybe he sets light to Catherine’s place cos he can’t get a gun?"
Will Ryan keep mum?
The end of Happy Valley's penultimate episode saw Ryan chatting to his criminal father via their game consoles - with Tommy asking his son to meet up with him in secret.
Ryan - who had been visiting Tommy in prison over recent months - can be seen in the teaser for the finale being quizzed by officers about his current relationship with his father.
The teenager looks stony-faced as he is asked: "When was the last time you had any contact with Tommy Lee Royce?"
Happy Valley fans will have to wait until Sunday to discover if Ryan keeps mum about his chats with Tommy, but some viewers have faith Catherine's grandson will do the right thing.
Following the penultimate episode airing over the weekend, Strictly Come Dancing Dan Walker told his Twitter followers: "My new #HappyValley climax theory (please tell me I’m wrong and it all ends nicely)…
"Ryan says he’ll run away but betrays Tommy & gets murdered by his dad
"Catherine kills Tommy on her last day in the job and Claire takes the fall to show her sister that she loves her."
"Ryan ends up killing Tommy, my guess. Can’t wait for it! #HappyValley," one of Dan's fans replied, with another predicting: "I am thinking about the important things in life, namely the final episode of #HappyValley and am wondering if Ryan is going to step up and assist in the recapture of Tommy Lee after his tearful declaration of love for his grandma last week."
Is Clare's life in danger?
Catherine's sister Clare pops up in the trailer for the final episode - with some fans pondering if she could be the Cawood who dies during Sunday night's finale.
"Have you caught him?" Clare is heard asking her sister in the teaser, following their tense exchange during the last episode of the BBC series.
Clare's relationship with her sibling is in tatters thanks to Catherine finding out about her trips to prison with Ryan and boyfriend Neil to see Tommy.
Chatting in the last episode of Happy Valley over the weekend, Clare revealed how Nev had kindly offered to put them all up in one of his holiday homes in Spain until Tommy is captured and returned to prison - delighted at the idea of a break in the sun with her sibling.
Catherine slammed the suggestion, telling Clare: "You're the last person I'd go on holiday with Clare and that moron you spend your days with.
"We've got nothing in common, you bore me, you have this idiotic, dependent personality."
Some fans predict Clare won't get a happy ending during Sunday night's finale.
"Now I’ve seen the trailer for the final ep I think it’s Claire not Richard who is going to die. #happyvalley," one mused on Twitter as the trailer dropped on Tuesday.
Another wrote: "Clare feels so guilty she tries to do something ‘brave’ & gets in danger, trying to save her sister/Ryan. Does (expendable secretive) Neil die saving her at last min? Ryan sets Tommy up but ends up having to choose his Gran or his ‘dad’? I feel a *big* loss coming #HappyValley."
"Claire is going to be killed, isn’t she? #HappyValley," a third added, with another predicting: "Think Claire’s a goner! She’ll die saving Catherine or Ryan. And Catherine will have to live with the guilt of the last thing she said to her."
