Happy Valley fans are in for a treat, and extra terror, this Sunday with an extended episode of the TV drama that has gripped the nation. With psycho killer Tommy Lee Royce on the loose and a score to settle with Sergeant Catherine Cawood, viewers are wondering how the third and final series will all end with so many loose ends to tie up, not to mention Joanna Hepworth's body being found in suitcase.
Fans have had a taste of the drama to come in a trailer of the last ever episode released by the BBC, showing officers hurriedly charging out of the police station, Tommy with a bloodied face appearing to be kicking something, or someone, in a field, and Tommy creeping around in Catherine's house.
The trailer ends with a shot of heroic Catherine, played by Sarah Lancashire, in tears. She can be heard saying: "He's still out there. He's going to be angry and he's going to be even more desperate and dangerous."

The last ever episode of the BBC One crime series, which launched back in 2014, has been extended beyond its usual hour and will push back News At Ten to 10.10pm. Despite the extra minutes fans are wondering how it can all be crammed in.
A worried @LpPeer said on Twitter: "Finale is 1 hour 8 mins, still not enough time me thinks to fit it all in, PLEASE DON'T make it an ending where we are left guessing. Couldn't cope!! We all need closure please!"
@ruthwrites_is also concerned, saying: "How we’re wrapping #HappyValley up in just over an hour next week, I don’t know. So much to round off!" And @CLeonard1212 remarked: "The series finale is an hour and eight minutes long. Those added ten minutes are bound to be the most tense moments of television drama that I have ever watched."
The synopsis for the final episode says "Catherine works her final shift, when scores are settled for good, while grandson Ryan faces a moral dilemma." Other fans think there will be so much to take in, they are calling for a bank holiday on Monday to recover.
congreavetraveller1 suggested on Tommy Lee Royce actor James Norton's Instagram: "I think Monday should be a bank holiday!" tarahawkins500 agreed: "Ha ha....excellent idea."
jackcle22 asked: "@congreavetraveller1 where do we start the petition?" And catherine_ahlsved pointed out: "It is in Ireland! It’s our first bank holiday dedicated to a woman: St. Brigid’s Day!"
