This is the selfie, clicked by R Madhavan in June 2017, which went viral.

R Madhavan, the man who ruled the hearts of women in the ’90s with his charm and soulful eyes, is celebrating his 48th birthday on Friday.

The actor has transformed into a Greek God today and has female fans swooning over his drop dead gorgeous pictures on his Instagram account.

Maddy for his fans, Madhavan began spreading his magic in Tamil filmdom with Mani Ratnam’s Alaipayuthey.

He played the role of Karthik, who falls in love with a medical student, Shakthi (Shalini), woos her and the two get married secretly.

Madhavan became a heart throb among women. His next film Minnale only cemented his image as the lover boy.

A still from the film Minnale remade in Hindi as Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein.

He went on to do several films in Tamil, before donning the blues as an IAF pilot in Bollywood film Rang De Besanti beside Aamir Khan, Siddharth, Soha Ali Khan and others.

While fans across India loved him for his key role, many people spoke about how good he looked in uniform. Thanks to him, the men in uniform are much in demand.

Except for Aayutha Ezhuthu that came out in 2004, most of Madhavan’s looks reminds one of the boyish charm, which he used in films with abundance.

Interestingly, it was not until the actor shared a shower selfie on Instagram did people see the Greek God in him. This post went viral online with women from across the world praising Maddy for maintaining his looks.

The actor then went further and wore the salt and pepper look in the web series Breathe, in which he played a desperate father seeking an organ donor to save his dying son.

And now, he is set to play an astronaut in Chanda Mama Door Ke and we cannot wait for him to reveal his look in the film.

It is not only his looks that have transformed, but the actor has become a powerful performer as seen in his last Tamil film Vikram Vedha, which received rave reviews from critics and audience alike.
