The Winter Olympics Brazil bobsleigh team channelled their inner Cool Runnings following a nightmare start at the Winter Olympics.
The two-man team were at the top of the course and were ready to begin their sprint start.
However, the second athlete, who was pushing the bobsleigh from the back, suddenly slipped when they began to move forward.
This caused his teammate to slow down his start, as he continued to slip and slide and even fell on to his back.
He desperately tried to cling on the bobsleigh as he tried to find his feet and a teammate who was recording in the background, looked on in shock as the pair struggled to get into their groove.
They almost came to a standstill before he was able to recover and they could begin heading around the course.
Thankfully for the Brazilians, it was just a practice run and they were able to have another crack at it.
Fans on social media reacted to the blunder and some found it rather amusing.
“Imagine training for 4 years and your partner does that,”' one wrote, along with a laughing emoji.
Another added: “Cool runnings, the samba version.”
While another chimed in: “4 years of training wasted because he wore Mouldies rather than Metal studs.”
The gaffe drew on parallels with the popular 1993 Cool Runnings movie, which is loosely based on the true story of the Jamaica national bobsleigh team's debut in competition during the 1988 Winter Olympics.
During their final race, one of the bobsled’s blades detaches, causing it to flip over and crash.
Determined to finish the race, the team picked up their bobsled and carried it across the finish line, earning the applause of the other teams and the spectators.
