Hannah Dodd Joins 'Bridgerton' As Francesca In Season Three

bridgerton season 3

British actress Hannah Dodd has made her debut on the hit Regency-era drama series 'Bridgerton' as Francesca Bridgerton in the recently released season three. Dodd, who previously auditioned for the role of Daphne in season one, finally landed a part in the show after the exit of Ruby Stokes due to scheduling conflicts.

The first season of 'Bridgerton,' based on Julia Quinn's book series 'The Duke and I,' focused on the romance between Daphne Bridgerton and Simon Basset. Dodd's character, Francesca, is now introduced as a more introverted member of the Bridgerton family, navigating her way through society and the marriage mart.

Despite missing out on a role in the initial season, Dodd continued to hone her craft by portraying the younger version of Sienna Miller's character in the miniseries 'Anatomy of a Scandal' and starring in 'Enola Holmes 2' alongside Millie Bobby Brown.

Francesca's character arc in season three promises a romantic storyline with a suitor named John Stirling, offering a fresh perspective compared to her more outgoing siblings. Dodd expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to be part of the series, highlighting the unpredictable nature of the acting industry.

'Bridgerton' season three is now available for streaming on Netflix, with the second part set to be released on June 13. Fans can expect to see Dodd's portrayal of Francesca as she embarks on her journey in the Regency-era society, adding a new dynamic to the beloved series.
