Hamilton boss Stuart Taylor tore a strip off his side after their 2-0 defeat against Kilmarnock and said it was nowhere near good enough.
Goals from Fraser Murray and Blair Alston gave Killie a comfortable win at Rugby Park, with Accies barely registering a chance or forcing a save from keeper Zach Hemming.
Taylor says Hamilton just weren't at the races, and the players are hurting as a result.
He said: "Today we weren't at the races. We didn't deserve to get anything out of the game and it's the first time I can say, near enough since I came in, that we didn't deserve anything out of the game today.
"It was a bad day at the office, and all credit to Kilmarnock,, they came, they pressed, they harassed, and we just didn't match them.
"I thought we had weathered the storm, that we were going to go in at half-time level pegging, and we would have been happy with that.
"But it wasn't to be, and I'm really disappointed.
"But we didn't deserve anything from it. I'm realistic in the sense that when we do well I've always said that, but today we didn't do anywhere near enough to get anything out of the game.
"It's the first time I can say that.
"I was disappointed today but the lads are exactly the same, they're gutted in there, they're frustrated with themselves, but it was just one of those days when it just felt like it wasn't their day, that they never turned up. Sometimes that happens, they're human beings."
Taylor added: "I've always said, even on the good run that we were on, that it's a work in progress, that we're trying to get there. We know exactly where we are, what we want to do and how to get there.
"Along the way there are going to be bumps on the road, and today was one.
"We tried to keep ourselves in the game, we asked for a reaction at half-time, and we did that, we came out in little bits in the game when we had the ball we did look a little bit of a threat going forward.
"But again, it was nowhere near good enough."
