Lewis Hamilton will be reunited with his former trainer Angela Cullen as he embarks on a new chapter in his F1 career at Ferrari.
Hamilton, who enjoyed a formidable partnership with Cullen during his time at Mercedes, has turned to the New Zealander, who will form part of his backroom team.
Cullen worked with Hamilton for six of his seven world championship wins but they parted company after the opening race of the 2023 season.
Despite their split, the two remained in close contact and frequently messaged each other.
Autosport has now learned that Cullen has joined Hamilton's Project 44 company as a physio and will form part of the performance team overseen by race director Marc Hynes.
Since the start of 2024, Hamilton's Project 44 company has made several key hires across different areas to help manage the F1 driver's career.
After leaving Hamilton's side, Cullen has worked for fellow Kiwi IndyCar driver Marcus Armstrong.
However, rumours that she would rejoin Hamilton's side at Ferrari intensified earlier in the month when she posted photographs on Instagram wearing red and with a flag bearing his race number, 44, in the background.
Speaking about their split in 2023, Hamilton said: "Angela is living her life right now. She's got so many ideas of things she wants to do. We message pretty much every day. We are still going to skydive together. We are always going to be in each other's lives.
"We're stuck with each other, unfortunately, or fortunately! We've been through thick and thin. I am grateful our relationship is as good as it is. We've probably had one of the longest relationships I would say in the sport. I am incredibly grateful for her, I love her dearly."
News of the return of their partnership comes as Hamilton undergoes his first laps in a Ferrari-powered car at the Italian team's test track in Fiorano.
The 40-year-old spent time in the team's simulator on Monday as he adjusts to the new processes and power delivery of the Ferrari power unit.
Hamilton spent the day meeting team principal Fred Vasseur and chief executive Benedetto Vigna, as well as Piero Ferrari, the son of the team's founder, Enzo Ferrari.
He also visited Enzo Ferrari's office and spent the day getting to know his new team-mates.
