Hamilton location to cease functioning as a vaccination centre

NHS Lanarkshire is notifying residents of the closure of a vaccination site in Hamilton.

Today (Monday, June 30) is the last day people in the town will be able to access the Banqueting Suite at South Lanarkshire Council’s headquarters for their Covid-19 vaccination.

The vaccination team will be moving to a new centre in Eddlewood which will open on Saturday, June 4.

To get a vaccination, you can book an appointment to choose a suitable time, this will apply to the Eddlewood site as well as other vaccination centres including: Airdrie Town Hall, Alistair McCoist Complex in East Kilbride, Braidfute Retail Park in Lanark, Fernhill Community Centre in Rutherglen, Link Community Centre in Cumbernauld and Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility in Motherwell.

According to the most recent figures, 74 per cent of Lanarkshire residents aged over 12 years old have received all three doses of the vaccine.
