Scott Martin hopes Hamilton can put on a show for the fans against Dundee on Saturday – because they know they need points.
Accies sit eighth in the Championship with just one win and four draws from seven games this season.
In all four of those draws Hamilton have been ahead, and they created a number of chances before losing 2-0 to Queen’s Park at home a fortnight ago.
Midfielder Martin, 25, knows it’s important to start climbing the Championship table.
He said: “We want to win every game, put on a show for the fans and do well for the gaffer.
“I think everyone’s together and pushing in the right direction.
“But we need points. All the players in the changing room know how important it is to turn all the draws and poor results into wins. We know how important it is for us.
“It has been frustrating. The performances haven‘t been terrible, there’s definitely an improvement there.
“But we need to be more ruthless, with more of a cutting edge, and take the chances when we get them.
“We’ve been creating a lot, so I think it would be worrying if we weren’t creating any, or putting in poor performances.
“But we need to turn these chances into goals, goals will change games, and hopefully the wins will follow, after that.
“I’m surprised we didn’t take anything from the Queen’s Park game, considering how well we played in the first half, but goals change games, they took their chances and we didn’t, so it ended up with the result going to them.”
