Practice made perfect for Steve Lawson after he netted a cracking penalty to open his account for Hamilton Accies.
And the midfielder reckons he can play anywhere for the club after his striker's finish in a win over 10-man Arbroath gave the club their first victory in the Championship this season.
The French-born Togo international rifled a powerful penalty into the top left-hand corner in the 58th minute to seal the points, after Thomas O'Brien had saw red for using an arm to block Dario Zanatta's goal-bound strike.
It was an effort even two goalkeepers would have failed to stop, but Lawson says it's something he does in training regularly.
He said: "I was comfortable with the penalty. I practice that at training.
"It wasn't exactly where I was going for, but I was aiming for that top corner.
"Maybe it was a striker's finish.
"I play a lot in centre midfield but I can play right-back, I can play left-back.
"I can play striker as well so I think I can play everywhere.
"But it's just good to have game time because I was without a club for six months [before joining Hamilton last season].
"I'm just grateful to be on the park and play with the lads.
"I'm happy for the team because we had a bit of a bad start with three draws and then a defeat last week.
"But we've got the three points this time and I'm just happy to get the goal to help the team out, and get the clean sheet as well because our goalkeeper has deserved it for a long time."
Arbroath gaffer Dick Campbell was livid with the penalty award, which he described as the ‘softest he's seen in 33 years in football.’
But Lawson said: "I think it is a handball and we'll take it.
"I think the season will start now for us. This is the game that is going to get us going.
"It's good for the team and we are up in the table, so I hope it gives us the extra energy to get more points."
The result lifted Accies up to seventh but it leaves Lichties rock bottom with just two points from five games.
