Hamilton star Steve Lawson admits he doesn't care where he plays, as long as he's in the starting XI.
Lawson was brought in on an 18-month deal ostensibly as a right-back, but will operate in midfield when needed.
The 27-year-old Frenchman says after several months out of the game he will play wherever boss Stuart Taylor needs him, and says he feels stronger with every game.
Ahead of today's Championship clash against basement side Queen of the South, Lawson said: "After six or seven months of me not having played football I’m happy to be back on the pitch and at a good level.
"As long as I play, I don’t care – left-back, right-back, centre-mid, I just want to play and help the team.
"If the gaffer or the players think I can help them more as a right-back I’m happy. If they would rather I was centre-mid I will play there, I don’t care."
Lawson added: "My fitness is coming back, I’m happy about that.
"Since the first day all the staff and players kept me involved. They knew I was not at my best, fitness level, so they helped me at training, helped me to give me confidence enough to play and play well.
“I know I can do better, but it will come back slowly."
