Stuart Taylor reckons Scott Martin has played his final game for Accies this season as the Hamilton boss faces a number of injury doubts for Saturday's clash with Raith Rovers.
Martin and defender Jamie Hamilton were both subbed off during last week's 1-0 win over Morton at Cappielow, while skipper Brian Easton played through the pain barrier having had an injection before the game.
Striker Andy Ryan also appears to be a major doubt as Accies prepare to face promotion-chasing Rovers, who they have yet to beat this season in three attempts.
Asked how his squad was shaping up, Taylor said: "Jamie hasn't trained, Scotty hasn't trained. I don't see Scott Martin being back for the next two games.
"Jamie will hopefully take part in training today and Easty should try to do something today.
"So it really is the walking wounded at the moment.
"Chucky [Ryan] is struggling. He had two kicks to his calf in the first half [against Morton] and I don't see him training over the next couple of days.
"We will need to see on Friday how he is.
"Lads have been feeling things for a few weeks now and getting through it. All credit to them, they've done brilliantly.
"Now it's a case of do we keep pushing them or do we bring through other lads, change the formation to accommodate what's available?
"Those are the things we are thinking about after Saturday's game."
Accies have secured their Championship status but can no longer reach the promotion play-offs with just two games to go.
They trail fifth-place Raith by four points and a win over them, coupled with a win at Inverness on the final day next Friday could see secure a top five spot for Taylor's men.
And that will be the incentive for his side.
He added: "We've got everything to play for. There's pride and professionalism and we want to win this game against Raith Rovers to try and get closer to them, then maybe win the next game to go above them.
"We've spoken about the disappointment of not getting a late run to the promotion play-offs, so it's about playing for this football club and being ambassadors of the community.
"All that still comes into it for us and the way the lads are, they won't be any different, they take pride in what they do.
"We want to finish as high as we can in the last two games.
"I think Raith are a fantastic side and [boss] John McGlynn has done a brilliant job up there.
"He's really implemented a fantastic football style.
"People will say they've been on a bad run and this and that, but with the philosophy John has got it's always going to be a very difficult game because they have different options in what they can do, and a good depth of squad.
"They've got players who are all comfortable on the ball and I think it will be a good game of football for the neutral to come and watch because both sides like to play football."
