Hamilton Accies in festive fixture switch as Cove Rangers clash moved

The SPFL has announced Hamilton Accies' Christmas Eve clash with Cove Rangers in the Scottish Championship has been brought forward.

The sides were due to meet at Balmoral Stadium at 3pm on December 24 but that has now been switched to a Friday night kick-off on Decmber 23 at the request of both clubs.

It means the match will now start at 7.45pm.

Hamilton's match follows on from a number of SPFL sides switching their festive fixtures last week.

Airdrieonians' trip Montrose in League One is also being played on the night of December 23 instead of 3pm on the Saturday.

The majority of lower league clubs have moved to bring their clashes forward with the entire Championship card now taking place on December 23.

Clyde's home match in League One with Alloa and Albion Rovers' trip to Annan in League Two are still due to take place on Christmas Eve at 3pm.

Currently, the five scheduled Scottish Premiership clashes for Christmas Eve - including Motherwell's home clash with Kilmarnock - remain unchanged.
