Hamilton Accies hand debuts to 15-year-old trio as they rack up the goals in pre-season wins

Hamilton Accies handed debuts to 15-year-old Gabriel Forsyth, Lewis Latona and Ryan One, as a squad racked up comfortable wins over West of Scotland League sides Larkhall Thistle and Newmains United.

A strong line-up bagged a 4-0 win over Larkhall at Gasworks Park, before Accies thumped Newmains 9-0 at Victoria Park.

A double from skipper Andy Ryan was added to by strikes from defender Forsyth and a penalty scored by a trialist as Hamilton started the day at Larkhall.

Young goalkeeper Reece Murray and 17-year-old striker Myles Gaffney were also given some game-time at Gasworks Park.

John Rankin's side then moved on to Victoria Park to face Davie Menelaws's Newmains United, winning 9-0.

Lewis Smith grabbed an early double, with a strike from Andy Winter, an Ellis Brown free kick and a strike from a trialist having them 5-0 up by the interval.

Second-half strikes by Ben Black (2), Ryan One, and Forsyth saw Accies rack up the nine-goal win.

Hamilton's first line-up of the afternoon featured first-team stars Ryan Fulton, Dan O'Reilly, Shaun Want, Reegan Mimnaugh, Adam McGowan, Scott Martin and Andy Winter, while young Sam Spence started, three days after playing in the 3-0 win over Larne FC on Thursday.

Two trialists started, with young Chris McGinn completing the line-up.

As is customary in friendlies, Accies made several changes from a bench that included Gaffney and Forsyth.
