Hamilton Accies boss John Rankin is looking to add two new signings to his squad on deadline day.
The New Douglas Park outfit have already brought in four fresh faces during the January window, with Newcastle United striker Dylan Stephenson and Hearts forward Connor Smith joining on loan last week to add to the arrivals of Kilmarnock defender Dylan McGowan and Stoke City midfielder Tom Sparrow on loan earlier in the window.
Rankin said yesterday "I'm not finished yet" when it came to the transfer window and, with the clock ticking down towards midnight, Lanarkshire Live Sport understands he is looking to complete moves for two further player - but both are dependant on the clubs the players are attached to moving bodies on.
Another striker - understood to be from a Premiership club - and a defender from a club down south are on Rankin's radar.
The move for the defender would need to be completed by midnight, while the swoop for striker does not need to be signed off today as clubs out-with the top flight can still complete loan moves beyond the deadline, if they are coming from a higher level.
Accies are also hopeful of moving some players on over the course of the day.
