Hamas Urges Continued Attacks On Israel Amidst Ongoing Conflict

Palestinian Hamas militants take part in a rally marking the 31st anniversary of Hamas' founding, in Gaza City

Abu Obaida, the spokesperson of Hamas’ military wing Al Qassam Brigades, delivered a video message on Tuesday, calling for continued attacks on Israel amidst the ongoing conflict between the two sides. This message comes after more than six weeks of silence from Abu Obaida and marks the 200th day of the Israel-Hamas war.

In his address, Abu Obaida emphasized the commitment of Hamas fighters to keep engaging the enemy through various techniques as long as the aggression on their land persists. He praised Iran for its recent strikes on Israel, describing the attack as unprecedented and one that has altered the dynamics of the conflict.

Iran launched a significant drone and missile attack on Israel in response to a suspected Israeli strike on an Iranian diplomatic complex in Syria. Despite the scale of the attack, the Israeli military reported intercepting a vast majority of the projectiles fired.

Abu Obaida also criticized Israel's involvement in hostage release and ceasefire negotiations, accusing Israel of attempting to backtrack on its commitments and prolong the negotiations for its benefit. Both Israel and the US have accused Hamas of obstructing the negotiation process by making unreasonable demands.

The ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas continues to escalate, with both sides showing no signs of backing down. Abu Obaida's message underscores Hamas' determination to resist Israeli aggression and highlights the complex dynamics at play in the region.
