Hamas has announced the postponement of the next scheduled hostage release, originally set for Saturday, citing Israel's failure to adhere to the terms of the agreement. Abu Obeida, spokesperson for the Qassam Brigades, Hamas' armed wing, stated that the release of prisoners would be delayed until further notice, pending Israel's compliance and compensation for past obligations.
Abu Obeida emphasized Hamas' commitment to the agreement's terms as long as Israel upholds its end of the deal. He highlighted instances of what he described as Israeli violations, including delays in returning displaced individuals to northern Gaza, targeting them with shelling and gunfire, and obstructing the entry of relief supplies as agreed upon.

The Gaza Government Media Office, under Hamas control, accused Israel of refusing to allow the entry of shelter supplies specified in the ceasefire agreement. In response, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz instructed the military to prepare for potential scenarios in Gaza at the highest level of alert.
Minister Katz condemned Hamas' decision to postpone the hostage release as a blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement and the hostage deal. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump made remarks indicating that Palestinians would not have the right to return to Gaza under his proposed plan to assume US ownership of the territory and oversee its reconstruction.
