Jerusalem: Hours after Israeli Army carried out strikes in Gaza, the palestinian group Hamas on Tuesday confirmed that the head of its government in Gaza was among those top officials who were killed in the strikes.
"These leaders, along with their families, were martyred after being directly targeted by Israel, " the palestinian group said in a statement.

Essam al-Dalis, head of Hamas in Gaza, and Abu Watfa, who headed Hamas’s police and internal security services in the Gaza Strip, were killed in the strike on Gaza City, according to media reports.
Dalis was holiding the post which was equivalent to Hamas’s prime minister.
