Rock band Ham SandwicH's lead singer Niamh Farrell was "spat on" by a group of teenagers on a Dublin Bus on Saturday night.
The singer posted about the incident on Twitter, saying the group were subsequently kicked off the 77a bus by the driver. "On a @dublinbusnews tonight and decided to stand up to a bunch of teenagers on a 77a and I got spat on twice but the lads ended up getting kicked off so that’s a win," she said.
"Fed up of feeling scared of gangs of 12 year old children tbh."

Dublin Bus responded to Farrell on Twitter saying they hoped she was okay and outlined the steps to formally log the incident with them. However, Farrell confirmed that the bus driver took her details and said he would report it himself.
Ham SandwicH was founded in Kells in 2003 and they released their fourth studio album Magnify last year. The band are performing at Dublin's 3Olympia Theatre on October 21 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their formation.
