Halloween sweetie treats in store as charity tuck shop set to visit in Ayrshire

Sweetie lovers are in for a treat next week as a travelling charity tuck shop will visit Ayrshire from Monday.

The tuck shop is coining it in for the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (GOSH Charity) and will stop off at Kilmarnock and Ayr as it travels the length of Scotland this half term.

Loaded with sweet treats, healthy snacks and cold drinks, 100 per cent of donations for the delicious items on board will go to GOSH, who fund specialised care and treatment for sick kids, offer child and family support services, and fund pioneering research.

Hayley’s Travelling Tuck Shop, which is fully electric, will be stopping at webuyanycar branches across the country and will visit webuyanycar Kilmarnock, Morrisons, on Monday (October 24) at 4.45pm and webuyanycar Ayr, Asda, the following day on Tuesday (October 25) at 9.30am.

The tuck shop has been organised by webuyanycar and powered by Zap-Map, the UK’s leading charge point mapping service, while all the tasty treats on board have been donated by some local Morrisons stores.

Webuyanycar will be donating a further £200 to cover the estimated recharge cost of the 843mile journey, which can be tracked via an interactive map on their website and across social media.

Hayley Thompson, Head of Retail Engagement at webuyanycar, said: “We’ve been working with GOSH Charity since April and so far the webuyanycar team has raised over £10,000 through skydives, head-shaves, car washes and much more, but we wanted to do something that involved the communities we work in too.

“Taking an EV from the tip of North East Scotland to the bottom of South West England, stopping at as many branches as we can in between is a great way to do this and drive many more donations along the way.”
