With events returning to normal once again following two years of the Covid 19 pandemic, Halloween celebrations are due to return across Co Tyrone.
Chief among the celebrations will be the return of traditional firework displays across many towns in the county. While it has been announced that the Omagh fireworks display will now not be going ahead, there are still other events happening across the county for all the family.
With lots of events happening across the county we thought we would get all the details together of all the Halloween events being run by local councils in Co Tyrone:

Here’s all the details:
Strabane
A fire juggling show will kick off from 6pm before the Halloween Fireworks Finale lights up the sky from Melvin Running Track at 7pm.
There will be a number of traffic restrictions in Strabane Town Centre in place on Halloween Day. Castle Street will be closed for the Halloween event from 7am until 6pm.
The pedestrian foot bridge and paths around Melvin Running Track will be closed to the public from 6:45pm to 7:45pm to allow for the firework display. There will also be restricted access for residents only on Melvin Road and Ballycolman Estate from 6:30pm until 7:30pm.
Coalisland
It’s the turn of Coalisland for the Mid Ulster Council fireworks display on Monday 31 October.
The Coalisland event will take place at Gortgonis from 6pm – 9.30pm with the fireworks display at 8.45pm.
Dungannon
The Dungannon event will take place on Friday 28 October with activities taking place at Market Square from 6pm – 7.45pm with the fireworks display firing from Hill of the O’Neill at 7.50pm.
Cookstown
The event at Mid Ulster Sports Arena, Cookstown will take place on Saturday 29 October from 6pm – 8.15pm with the fireworks display at 8pm.
Omagh
The planned fireworks displays in Omagh and Enniskillen were cancelled by Fermanagh and Omagh District Council just six days before the events were due to go ahead. The council blamed 'financial pressures' for the cancellation of the fireworks.
