The October bank holiday is almost here.
And with the bank holiday Monday falling on October 31 this year, it's likely that many people around the country will be popping into their local supermarkets to get some last minute sweets for trick or treaters.
If you're planning on doing some shopping this Halloween, make sure you aren't caught out by your local store closing a bit earlier than usual.

Here's the opening times for Irish supermarkets on the October bank holiday:
Tesco
Different Tesco stores open for different times on the bank holiday Monday. Some stores are set to remain open until their usual closing time of 10pm, while others will shut early at 8pm.

Most Aldi stores will be open from 9am until 9pm on the October bank holiday Monday. Customers can check Aldi’s store finder for the most up-to-date information on their local store.
Lidl
Lidl usually operates with opening hours of 9am to 9pm on bank holidays. You can always check your local store with the Lidl locater right here.
Dunnes Stores
Dunnes Stores have updated their October bank holiday opening hours on their website. Opening hours differ from store to store, with some staying open until 7pm while others will close at 8pm.
