Half term weather for Wales latest as Met Office predicts highs of 22°C

Anyone planning a day out this half term is in luck because the Met Office has forecast a "settled" week for weather in Wales with "warm sunshine" and highs of 22°C. The weather agency said Tuesday, May 30, will begin with patchy cloud in the morning but this will clear and there will be mostly sunny skies across the country by the afternoon.

Its forecast for Tuesday continues: "Staying fine through this evening. Feeling pleasantly warm although rather breezy for some. Maximum temperature 22 °C." It adds that Tuesday night will be clear at first with cloud arriving in east Wales overnight and patchy cloud possibly making it to the west by dawn. It adds: "A little milder than recent nights. Still breezy in places. Minimum temperature 5°C."

For Wednesday it forecasts that much of the country will probably start off "quite cloudy" but this will slowly brighten up with "warm sunny spells breaking through by the afternoon". It adds: "Staying cooler in places, especially in the breeze. Maximum temperature 21°C."

From Thursday to Saturday it says the country will stay dry with "high pressure remaining dominant". It adds that there will be "plenty of strong sunshine but some cloud is likely at times, mainly during the mornings". The days will be warm, it continues, though it will be breezy at times and cool overnight.
