Hakim Ziyech sends Thomas Tuchel clear message as Chelsea go through to Club World Cup Final

Well, how about that from Hakim Ziyech. 2022 has been an eye-opener and a fresh start for the Morrocan in this Chelsea team. I’m not sure what has changed, but I hope it lasts a lifetime, whatever it is.

Ziyech has by far been the shining talent in attack so far this year. The former Ajax player has looked more comfortable since Thomas Tuchel adapted the team to a four at the back system. His wicked left foot and eye for a killer ball has set his Chelsea career on an upward trajectory.

However, it seems like this is not enough for the Moroccan national team boss, Vahid Halilhodžić.

Right now, I don’t think Ziyech cares.

Ziyech looks happy! He seems filled with positive vibes, especially in recent matches like Chelsea's triple clashes against Tottenham.

I used to think he wasn't quite enjoying his time with the Blues with him having a rocky relationship with the fans who just didn't quite understand him. Fans are also restricted on his Instagram account, so I guess it has been pretty difficult to gauge whether or not Ziyech has been happy or not.

Reports have told a narrative that Ziyech is ready to leave Chelsea. However, back in December, he told Ziggo Sport,

"I think I'm starting to enjoy it more and more. When I enjoy it, I am at my best. I feel good, and then everything goes by itself for me."

Thomas Tuchel clearly has a vision for Ziyech, and it probably involved a back four going forward. If this brings out the string of incredible performances that we have seen over these last few weeks, then I wouldn't mind making the switch permanent. We've needed a creative difference in the attack, as well as someone who does not fear a long-range shot on goal. Ziyech proves a two in one solution.

I have noticed that the 28-year-old keeps it real. He doesn't shy away from the tough questions in interviews and gives his direct opinion. My guess is, if he wasn't happy here and looking for a move away from the club, he would have made mention of it, just like how he has done with the Morrocan national team.

He was asked about his international duties ahead of Chelsea's Club World Cup semi-final. He responded to clear the air.

"Obviously, I understand them, but I will not return to the national team. It's my final decision. It's all clear for me how things are going over there. It's all clear for me.

"I'm focusing on what I'm doing, and that's my club. At the end of the day, it's a decision he (the manager) makes. You have to respect it, but if all the lying comes with it, it's clear for me. I will not return to the national team. I understand (the fans upset). I feel sorry for them."
