Hairy Bikers star Si King has offered an update on his co-star and friend Dave Myers after he shared his cancer diagnosis. The celebrity chef, who found fame as part of the cooking duo, revealed he has cancer and is undergoing chemotherapy last week.
Speaking on the pair's Hairy Bikers – Agony Uncles podcast, Dave spoke openly about his diagnosis for the first time, saying he doesn't want to 'hide under a rock' but will be away from work and asked fans to 'respect his privacy' as he undergoes treatment.
"But look, the prognosis is OK, I’m going to be fine," he added. "I’ve just got to tuck in, look after myself, eat sensibly and get over this mess, flog books, and be a happy person so, within that, that’s where I am. I may be a baldy biker for a while so it’s just a warning, I don’t want to make a fuss about it, I look all right bald actually."

He also shared how it felt doing the segment without his fellow Hairy Biker, telling the hosts: "It's a bit odd without my mate, I have to say but no, it's good."
This Morning viewers were also feeling Dave's absence as they watched Si whip up a chicken and spinach curry. @SuzeTwelve tweeted: "So strange to see Si doing the cooking on #ThisMorning without Dave . Hope Dave's doing ok #TheHairyBikers."
